The characters of a game can be a very large factor in determining the level of immersion. You simply need good characters to support a good story or else the level of enjoyment greatly diminishes. When I talk about characters, I'm referring to the personality, appearance and behavior of the various characters within a game.

HD2600Pro - Graphic corruptions 4 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 0
Hello, I'm using Sapphire HD2600Pro 512MB. I experience major graphic corruptions in Crysis. I tried current (7.12) Catalyst and even the patched one drivers. Corruptions appear when I'm looking ahead, e.g. when I look on my feet everything is OK.

Can anybody help, please? Thanks!

And the card isn't overclocked. I use standard settings in Control Center. In Crysis low details on everything without anti-aliasing.

Well the game is new , loads of stuff have to be patched before we actually can enjoy it fully, but i think it could be the low setting issue which most likely they will fix by upcoming patch, try to put everything on medium or at least few options, see if that helps! I will have a look and try to find some more information on it!

vai

Edited: btw a screen shoot would be hell lot of a help and what motherboards are you using and what pci-e setting (mhz) are you running?

Do you get corruptions like this ? Check the Video http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=ey7BhrocB5A

Make sure you tried Crysis Hot Fix! if that doesn't work then he motherboard may cause issues such as the Asrock 4coredual and the other boards based on that via chipset. On that chipset, you have to disable the pci-e downstream pipeline, otherwise you will get heavy texture corruption.

Also pci-e goes a bit strange sometimes, you MAY have to force it to be 100Mhz, or say 99/101/109/110 to get your card to run without corruption! Thats what i have found out so far, but first make sure you guys try Ati Crysis hot fix! Downlaod links you can see below!

Thanks for the advice,

As for the motherboard, I use an MSI P35 Neo2FR.. The problem on my part consist of the weapons and nearly all of the objects being invisible or better to say, see-thru. Including the plane in the intro movie, from which you jump. You can see the silouettes, but can't see the textures themselves.

I have the hotfix, it doesn't help. Neiter does medium settings.

thx again

hmm ok, and do you run Vista or XP or have you tried both ? i have heard few Ati cards has a bug with new Drivers or the previous version ones , especially 7.12 Cat and that is all on Vista and works just fine on XP !

Try to put the shaders on low and see if that helps...

I had the same problem with the demo and Beta before but I doesnt have ATI so the new ForceWare fixed that but before that I had exactly the same problem but when I turned the Shader setting down to low it worked fine..
